First hardback edition, later impression of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, signed by J.K. Rowling in black ballpoint pen on the dedication page. The book was signed for the previous owner on 22 March 2000 during a signing event in Munich, Germany. This was the only non-English-speaking country in which Rowling conducted book signings. The book has been carefully preserved by the recipient for the subsequent 25 years.

Following the release of this third instalment, the series had already gained significant popularity, and Rowling undertook fewer public signing events than during the promotion of the earlier titles. As a result, authentically signed first editions are very uncommon.

This unread copy is in fine condition. A very small dent to the upper spine end prevents a pristine classification. The book has sharp spine ends and corners, an excellent binding, fresh pages, and clean book edges with no signs of use. It is housed in a near fine dust jacket with a slight degree of fading towards the spine and a small area of wear to an upper fold corner. An outstanding example.

The signature has been fully authenticated by Adam Houston of The Harry Potter Specialist. The book is accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity (LoA) and a collector’s card with additional background details.
