First Canadian edition, first printing of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, inscribed 'To Rhiannon' by J.K. Rowling in black ink on the half-title page.
During J.K. Rowling's visit to Canada in October 2000, at Toronto's SkyDome, she signed a limited number of copies, the vast majority of which were fifth or sixth printings. These copies occasionally appear on the market. In addition, a small number of first printings were distributed to selected event sponsors. While signed copies from this event do surface from time to time, examples bearing a personal inscription such as this are exceptionally scarce.
Preserved in fine, unread condition for the past twenty-five years, this copy remains entirely free from wear or other flaws. The binding is firm, and the endpapers and pages are bright and clean. The unclipped dust jacket is likewise in fine condition, without fading or edge wear, and is now protected in a removable Brodart archival cover.
The signature has been fully authenticated by J.K. Rowling signature expert Adam Houston of The Harry Potter Specialist and is accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity.
Housed in a custom-made, exquisitely crafted half-leather clamshell box, providing both an elegant presentation and long-term archival protection.
