Scarce first Australian edition, first hardback printing of Harry Potter and the Philosopher?s Stone printed and published by Bloomsbury UK for the Australian market. Full number line 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1. This version was the first to be issued with a dust jacket. We learned from a Bloomsbury contact that the print run was only 2.000 copies, which makes it a very rare book.
Some small spots on the book ends, otherwise a fine, unread copy with sharp spine ends and cornertips, firm binding, clear pages without any inscriptions dog-ears or other flaws. The near-fine dust jacket has a water stain on the lower part of the inside, which is not visible from the outside, and shows virtually no further wear, with bright colours and without any fading.
Note: The softcover ISBN number was mistakenly printed on the dust jacket. This therefore differs from the (correct) ISBN number on the copyright page.
